Apple iPad pre-orders have begun
The most anticipated new device is finally here. Well, almost. On Friday, Apple, Inc. began taking orders for their latest innovation, the iPad. Even though Apple has begun taking pre-orders, the iPad won’t be distributed out until April 3rd. That’s the same day they hit the store shelves. Customers will be limited to only 2 iPads initially. The Wi-Fi version, starting at $499, will be delivered on that date with the 3G version that starts at $629 coming later in the month. Consumers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK will be able to buy both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G versions of the iPad in late April. AT&T will carry the iPad offering 250MB of data for $14.99 per month, and an unlimited plan for $30 – both without an annual contract. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
