Rickrolling Worm Infects Jailbroken iPhones
A number of iPhones in Australia have reportedly been infected by a worm that replaces the background wallpaper with an image of 80’s pop icon Rick Astley.
“The worm, which could have spread to other countries although we have no confirmed reports outside Australia, is capable of breaking into jailbroken iPhones if their owners have not changed the default password after installing SSH,” explained Sophos security researcher Graham Cluley. “Once in place, the worm appears to attempt to find other iPhones on the mobile phone network that are similarly vulnerable and installs itself again.”
If you have a jailbroken iPhone/iTouch and installed SSH, you must change the default password before you become rick-rolled.
Dell’s Android spotted in Brazil & FCC Approves Dell Mini 3iX
Dell’s Android-based Mini 3iX has surfaced in Brazil with support for Wi-Fi and 3G UMTS/HSDPA on 850MHz, 1900MHz and 2100MHz bands, according to photos posted on the Brazilian site CelularCafe.
The earlier rumors claimed the build quality of the US version should be improved, while the 3 megapixel camera will be swapped for a 5 megapixel variant.
The Mini 3iX reportedly features a 3.5-inch touchcreen with 640×360 resolution, GPS, Exchange support, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, and a MicroSD slot. Interface screenshots show a different style than the Ophone design used in the Chinese 3i, with a layout closer to the stock Android configuration.

- As shown below, it seems that Dell Mini 3iX is all set to hit the shelves. This can be concluded from recent reports from UnwiredView which states that the Dell handset has received approval from FCC.
Long awaited competition for Google’s G1 should be out with AT&T as the first Android phone early 2010.

Now T-Mobile is the latest carrier to announce the Android based Samsung Behold II. Samsung have thrown their own 3D cube skin on top of the default Android skin on the phone. The guys at phonedog.com were present at the launch even in NYC and have posted a video on how it went. The handset is coming to T-Mobile on 18 November for a price of $229.99 with a 2 year contract.
