Samsung Behold II, Nov 18th

It’s hard not to get caught up in all the Android hoopla running around all the major wireless carriers these days. Verizon launched the Android 2.0 based Motorola DROID few days ago, as did HTC with the Droid ERIS, albeit not running on Android 2.0. Now T-Mobile is the latest carrier to announce the Android based Samsung Behold II. Samsung have thrown their own 3D cube skin on top of the default Android skin on the phone. The guys at phonedog.com were present at the launch even in NYC and have posted a video on how it went. The handset is coming to T-Mobile on 18 November for a price of $229.99 with a 2 year contract.

Here are the features of the phone

  • 528 Mhz processor
  • 3.2” AMOLED capacitive screen
  • Accelerometer
  • BlueTooth
  • Wifi
  • GPS
  • Support for up to 16GB external memory (comes with a 2GB microSD card)
  • 5 MP autofocus camera with built-in flash, zoom and video
  • 1500 mAh battery

And to get you more excited about the phone, we have thrown in some more coverage about the phone
