Samsung Behold II, Nov 18th
It’s hard not to get caught up in all the Android hoopla running around all the major wireless carriers these days. Now T-Mobile is the latest carrier to announce the Android based Samsung Behold II. Samsung have thrown their own 3D cube skin on top of the default Android skin on the phone. The guys at phonedog.com were present at the launch even in NYC and have posted a video on how it went. The handset is coming to T-Mobile on 18 November for a price of $229.99 with a 2 year contract.
Here are the features of the phone
- 528 Mhz processor
- 3.2” AMOLED capacitive screen
- Accelerometer
- BlueTooth
- Wifi
- GPS
- Support for up to 16GB external memory (comes with a 2GB microSD card)
- 5 MP autofocus camera with built-in flash, zoom and video
- 1500 mAh battery
And to get you more excited about the phone, we have thrown in some more coverage about the phone
Google Purchases Mobile Ad Firm for $750 Million
Google Inc is acquiring mobile advertising company AdMob for $750 million, furthering the company’s push into the fast-growing market of Web-enabled cell phones.
The all-stock deal gives Google, whose Android software is increasingly used to power smartphones such as the Motorola Inc Droid, an important element to monetize mobile Internet traffic.
“Mobile advertising has enormous potential as a marketing medium and while this industry is still in the early stages of development, AdMob has already made exceptional progress in a very short time,” said Google VP of Product Management Susan Wojcicki.
Last month, Google said its mobile searches increased 30 percent quarter-over-quarter in the third quarter.
Google CEO Eric Schmidt also said last month that the company was interested in resuming its acquisition efforts, after taking a breather during worst of the economic downturn. Schmidt said Google would acquire on average one company a month.
Google said the deal has been approved by both Google and AdMob and is subject to customary closing conditions.
You thought Google already had everything? Think again.

HTC Legend not a legend anymore
As we promised, we bring you more info on HTC Legend. In fact, we present you exclusive crystal clear image of the upcoming Android phone from HTC. We suppose it will replace Hero, considering the dimensions, screen size and specs. Besides the AMOLED HVGA screen (16 million colors) it features optical mouse (or should we say optical trackpoint?). Legend will probably be announced in Barcelona (World Mobile Congress 2010) and hit the streets (or mobile operators) in march 2010. It certainly does resemble the Hero, but Legend will have metallic frame and will also feature updated versions of HTC People and Footprints. Let’s not forget LED flash, something the Hero really misses, and a 600MHz processor. Green bottom is probably going to change… What do you thing on Legend vs Bravo ? Will you even consider HVGA after WVGA and Bravo appear ?
Update: Specs sheet is now correct, the screen is HVGA !
