Things to Remember When Cleaning Your Computer

Here are few things to keep in mind when cleaning your computer. Cleaning your computer at regular intervals is extremely important because this can help your computer run in its optimum condition. Another reason is to avoid or to keep dust from accumulating inside your computer system. Too much dust can cause your system to overheat which can result to system freeze and other computer problems. However, there are things that you should keep in mind when you want to clean your computer. You can follow these steps to make this activity as safe as possible for you and to avoid any accidents.

1. Cleaning you computer is not a child’s play so do not ever leave your computer to your child to clean it. Because your child may possibly do something that will damage your computer. You don’t want irreparable damages to your computer don’t you? Aside from that, your child may get hurt from electric shock. However, you can show to your child how to properly clean a computer by guiding them.

2. There are many people that only clean the external part of their computer. They wipe the case or clean the computer part that is only visible to them. What you should do is to clean the inside of your computer. The hidden dirt and dust inside your computer is what usually cases computer overheating. You can use a vacuum cleaner that has a special nozzle meant for computer cleaning only. Aside from using vacuum, you can also use a brush to effectively remove stuck dusts.

3. Using any liquid or any cleaning solution directly onto your electronic part of your computer is prohibited. You should remember that any electronic devices such as your computer are susceptible electrical malfunction especially with the presence of liquid.

4. It’s easy to clean the outside of your computer by using a piece of damp cloth. There are specialized cleaners or cleaning materials that you can use to clean the surface or outside part of your computer.

5. Delicate parts such as motherboard etc. should not clean with a piece of cloth at all, even if it is a dry. Static electricity can cause damage your motherboard. Even a little static shock can make your system unstable or useless.

6. Keep your computer unplug when cleaning it or even installing new parts on it.

7. If you are cleaning your computer for the first time, checking the user manual is one of the best advices to follow. You can find a lot of tips and relevant advices on how to properly use and clean your computer with caution.
