How to use it:
- Jailbreak your iPhone 4, (need to do manually; if you do not have Cydia, visit iclarified.com then go to their tutorials section)
- Open Cydia and add http://cydia.furiousmod.com to cydia source.
- Install FuriousMod.deb, then turn off your iPhone 4. A small cut to the top right portion of the micro sim is required if you have not done so. After cutting the sim, put your sim card on the gevey ultra sim and insert into the iPhone.
- Turn on your iPhone 4. Welcome Message screen will appear. Accept it then wait for about 1-2 min then signal will show up.
NOTE: Gevey Welcome Message will show up, then followed by the "No Sim" message. Do not worry. Nothing you need to do, just patiently wait for 1-2 min.
Troubleshooting
If your GEVEY Sim is not working, please follow the instructions below:
- Insert your sim card into the phone without the Gevey Sim adapter and reboot your phone. Once the phone boots up you should see the signal bar or invalid sim; that means your sim is not damaged. If you see "no sim," that means your sim card is damaged from either cutting it incorrectly or you damaged the sim by cutting into the IC chip.
SOLUTION: To correct this, just go to your local carrier's store and ask for a replacement sim and this time, please use a Sim Cutter. (You can purchase them at our eBay store for only $6.75 with free shipping) Example: If you are a T-Mobile customer, go down to the T-Mobile store and ask for a replacement.
- If you cannot unlock your phone using our GEVEY Sim- using the instructions on our website or if you have one signal bar after the unlock most likely you have corrupted files on your iPhone.
**Caution: Before you restore your iPhone, make sure you backup your iPhone and have a sim card that can activate the iPhone. Example: In the US, iPhone is sold through AT&T so you need an AT&T sim card to activate. The sim card does not need to have service; if you bought the iPhone from Canada, you will need a Rogers sim card etc…
SOLUTION: Plug your phone into the computer and launch iTunes and restore your phone to factory setting and set up as a "New Phone." Next, turn off your 3G feature on your phone (Settings>General>Network) and then try the unlocking process again. Once the phone becomes unlocked, you could restore your back up files to your iPhone. The reason why we do this is because we want to isolate the problem you're having: your phone or the GEVEY. **Note: Our product currently supports up to iOS 4.3.3.*
- If you have trouble receiving or sending MMS or have trouble using 3G.
SOLUTION: Contact your carrier and request for APN settings for both your MMS and Cellular Data or you can try to google the carrier's APN settings.
Notice:
- After completing all of the above steps and there is still no signal, power off your iPhone. Repeat steps 1-4.
- To use 2G/3G network, go to SETTING, then GENERAL then NETWORK then turn on 'Date Roaming'. You also need to go into Cellular Data Network and enter your APN.
- You can do a language selection for the Welcome message at the STK menu.
- If you do not see the welcome menu showing up, you can go to 'Setting'-'Phone-'Sim Applications' and select it manually.
- It might not compatible with some old version SIMCARD. Please replace a new one and continue.
